Having a brilliant LinkedIn Profile is great, but it does you no good if no-one sees! I don’t consider myself a sales person, I just share my knowledge and suddenly clients appear out of thin air. Apparently it is called social selling. Little did I know, as I don’t do salesy things. When you put a little thought into sharing knowledge, people will notice you and your ideal clients LOVE you before you’ve ever met.
5 STEPS TO BE WELL KNOWN AND LOVED
- Think of 3-5 topics that are interesting to your clients. Make sure they are topics you are knowledgeable and passionate about yourself.
- Type one of the topics in the search box on LinkedIn.
- Sort the results to “content”.
- Comment on any article that fits the criteria of point 1. Make sure you add value.
- Rinse and repeat.
PEOPLE DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE
You’ve probably heard this mantra before: people do business with people they know, like and trust. By commenting on other people’s content, you get exposed to their followers, expanding the circle of people that KNOW you. By sharing content without getting salesy, not even pointing to your website, you are doing a LIKEable thing. By adding value with your comment, showing your expertise without showing off your gain TRUST.
