LinkedIn for Dummies | BOOK REVIEW by Petra Fisher

linkedin-book-review-03-petra-fisherDo I really need to say anything? For Dummies is a proven formula isn’t it? Great LinkedIn book. Works equally well to read cover from cover (although Dummies don’t recommend this themselves) or as a reference guide. I love the casual writing style and the little reminders and tips in the sideline. Very extensive book. Richly illustrated, although LinkedIn may have changed by the time you read this.

TOPICS COVERED

  • LinkedIn basics
  • Finding others and getting connected
  • Growing and Managing your network
  • Finding employees, jobs and services
  • Using LinkedIn for everyday business
  • The part of tens (do’s, don’ts, resources)

Love the location based LinkedIn ideas like: “Building your network before moving to a new city” and “Arranging face to face meetings when travelling”.
